An Iowa native, Elaine Monaghan de Muñoz has lived in Mexico for twenty-four years, making her home during this time in a number of cities of the
Republic—Cuernavaca, Mexico City, Monterrey, Nuevo Leon and Guadalajara. In every Mexican city where she has lived Elaine has been actively involved
in church activities, the American Society, and newcomers' groups. She is a past president of the Guadalajara International Friendship Club (IFC).
One of the aspects Elaine loves most about Mexico is the wide variety of regional cuisines and enjoys sharing her expertise.

JANET POTTER DE CAPETILLO
Born and raised in suburban Detroit, Janet Potter de Capetillo has become very well-acquainted with most aspects of
expatriate life in the city.
From her years raising three children she is very familiar with the bilingual schools of the city and other family-oriented activities that are available.
Having known many relocated corporate assignee families over the years, Janet feels that getting to know and appreciate the cross cultural differences
of Mexico is the key to enjoying life as an expatriate. She is a founding member and past president of the Junior Service League of Guadalajara.

MERCY STIRLING DE DUEÑAS
Mercy, originally from Tucson, Arizona, knows from a lifetime of experience how rewarding, though at times challenging, life can be for an expatriate.
Her father worked for the US Foreign Service where they relocated (5 brothers and sisters!) to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and later to Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
She arrived in Guadalajara 37 years ago where she attended the American School her junior year. After fifteen years of life in San Diego, Mercy returned to
Guadalajara in 1992.
She participates very actively in a number of community organizations; she is a past president of the Junior Service League of Guadalajara.
She has two daughters, Vanessa and Marcela. Mercy speaks Portuguese, Spanish and English.
